The Objective
§ The states of Michigan and Texas were looking to find a way to leverage the traffic violation data state wide to help local communities better understand their local safety issues.
The Solution
§ ICS created a dynamic, data-driven web portal (http://www.townsafety.com/) for local communities to access. Communities are able to compare their local traffic / safety statistics compared to the norms of the state. This provides insight into local issues where they may have specialized needs.
§ Once specialized needs areas are identified, local communities are able to access a knowledge repository that provides corrective action recommendations for communities to improve need areas.
§ Town Safety continues to be an important resource for local communities for many years.
